The volunteers are very friendly...wish they would hand out more canned items and meats
Foodlink is one of the best place, if you have a keen interest in volunteering. I've started volunteering few years ago. It’s a wonderful organization, which feed millions of people around us, and I am really happy to be a small part, of this organization , as a volunteer. It works by separating food stuffs, based on the type .
The staffs were friendly and the place was so clean and tidy . Happy volunteering!😊
It's really fun and the coordinators are very friendly. They tell you exactly what to do and you can fritter away a couple of hours there in kind of a zen repetitive state just packing boxes or whatever is needed. Keeps me outta trouble!
As an avid cook, I am delighted and feel lucky to have this affordable resource across the street. Go with a list, then ask to see the items you want to purchase, one-by-one. They are friendly and willing to accommodate your needs without prejudice. Be advised that some items are vulnerable to expiration and you must think carefully and choose well. It’s wasteful when produce goes stale unnecessarily. If you go with a clear list and discerning mind, you won’t be disappointed! I have recently stopped buying most of my produce from Wegmans. As we are now in a bountiful regional harvest time…take advantage of it and support the Foodlink efforts & systems.
the food served to my toddler at the center is despicable!
I couldn’t believe they would serve meals that are not kid friendly…
overall the food is disgusting and who ever prepares these meals to be delivered to these poor children need to be fired. It is unkind to make slop for kids in which you as adults wouldn’t eat yourself.
It is simply worst than prison food and food & nutrition need to evaluate those preparing these meals.
Foidlink was awesome! The food distribution program is very efficient and feeds many home in monroe county. The staff are friendly, welcoming very kind and thoughtful. The staff goes all out to help people while meeting the distribution needs. Thank you Foodlink.
Very beautiful people who is serving the city of Rochester, hopefully will be working with them as well. Very excited to see what they do here, very inspiring.
Instead of complaining & belly aching about a FEW grapes or a couple raspberries being bad, you people should THANK God, for people like Food Link VOLUNTEERS, that's correct...they are VOLUNTEERS who STAND for HOURS, IN THE POURING RAIN, & THE BITTER COLD, just to hand out food to you that's been DONATED! Pick off the bad ones, CUT OUT/OFF the bad spots on the fruit & the lettuce, & eat the rest! Most of all, BE THANKFUL for WHAT YOU HAVE! IT IS FREE TO YOU!
While you all are complaining, don't forget those HUGE pork steaks last time,& the fish fillets! There was so much food just for me,1 person, that I shared my BLESSINGS with my elderly neighbor & my mentally challenged son!
OUR THANKS to ALL of you who volunteer at FOOD LINK! WE APPRECIATE IT GREATLY!!! You ALL are truly a blessing from GOD! REAL ANGELS IN THE FLESH, or as a friend of mine says, Jesus with skin on!
I've started volunteering here occasionally. It's really fun and the coordinators are very friendly. They tell you exactly what to do and you can fritter away a couple of hours there in kind of a zen repetitive state just packing boxes or whatever is needed. Keeps me outta trouble!
